People saying we didn’t deserve to win
We deserved to win that. Our boys played their hearts out and so did Bayern. It was a hard fought match and whoever ended up winning deserved to win it and it happened to be the boys in blue.
JT didn’t deserve to lift the trophy? Why not? Take aside your personal hate for him and think about his service to the Chelsea badge. He’s played for Chelsea his entire career and has been with the club through it’s heartache. He would take a bullet for Chelsea if it meant the goal was saved. He is Chelsea through and through.
We have no history? Maybe that’s because we’re trying to make it. Every club started somewhere and Chelsea made history today so shut up and get over yourself.
Today is a blue day
So, you may have noticed
I am a little happy CHELSEA WON THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!!! I’ve been at a pub down in Fells Point with my very best guy friend from college (who came up from DC for the day to watch with me) and we were in just a great atmosphere. No one was heckling, everyone was joking with each other, it was fun times all around. Both my friend and I lost our voices screaming starting in the last 10 min of regular time. It was the greatest!
I won’t say Bayern wouldn’t have deserved a win, but they tried, and they lost. Chelsea defended supremely, and when there were unblocked shots, they were sent into space. Chelsea got far fewer shots and had a better ratio on target, plus scored when coming from behind. I’m sorry, but I’m going to say that for all their fight and bloody-mindedness, Chelsea deserved to finally win.
Also, so so so happy for Torres. He didn’t score, but the team seemed to play better with him on the field, and he kept getting the ball and completing good passes and crosses. Will admit that I wanted him in earlier, but as my friend pointed out, supersubs are there for a reason. Five minutes and he drew to the corner that we scored off of. The other team’s accounting for him on the field also probably threw them off. I’m hoping that he’s shown recently that he deserves to be on the Euro squad. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Got home in time to see the Preakness - held in Baltimore! (duh) - where I’ll Have Another won by a neck. That’s a boy!
Speaking of boys, the brother had his senior prom today! *sniff* He’s all grown up and even had his last day of high school yesterday! After they took off, the parentals took my friend and I to dinner at a really popular pizza place in town, and we managed to get him to the metro in College Park by 9.30.
Whew. I have been exhausted since coming home, but I wanted to reblog ALL THE
TORRESI MEAN CHELSEA, so now, holy shit it’s time for bed. Worst adrenaline crash ever after the penalties were over. I can’t stand another game like that for a while.
I LOVE ALL MY FELLOW CHELSEA FANS!!!
I JUST WANNA GIVE YOU GUYS A BIG HUG! WE NEVER GAVE UP AND WE DESERVE THIS WIN!
BLUE IS THE COLOUR!!!!
